| Lohan checks into rehab for the third time
London, Aug 7 (ANI): Days after she went into hiding following her latest DUI arrest, Lindsay Lohan has checked into a rehab centre in Utah. This is the third time that beleaguered starlet has turned to a rehabilitation programme for alcohol and drug addiction. Reports said that the Mean Girls star will be undergoing a one month intense programme at Cirque Lodge drug and alcohol rehab facility in Sundance, reports the Sun. On August 3, Lohan was spotted heading for Kennedy airport with her younger sister Ali. Her father Michael Lohan had confirmed that she was staying with her mum, grand mum and four siblings in Long Island. Lohan, who has also been charged of possessing cocaine, is due to appear in court on August 24.

Anderson House benefit this weekend
The 11th annual Anderson House Seafood Festival will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Deer Path Park, West Woodschurch Road, Readington Township. There will be musical entertainment by local musicians. The festival benefits the residential treatment program for women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. Suggested donation: $5, free for children 12 and under. Nutrition course at NCC Southside A new, three-credit introductory class in nutrition will be offered from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, beginning Aug. 29, at Northampton Community College's Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of nutrition related to health promotion and disease prevention throughout the life cycle.
Ex-Korn Member On NYT Best Seller List, Will Sign Books
Brian Head Welch, ex-guitarist for rock band Korn will make a rare public appearance on Aug. 1 at Bakersfields Russos Books at the Marketplace. He will be at the store to promote his memoir, Save Me From Myself: How I Found God, Quit Korn, Kicked Drugs, and Lived to Tell My Story. Lead guitarist for Bakersfield band Korn for more than 10 years, Welch suddenly quit the band in early 2005. He cited a personal salvation in Jesus Christ, claiming only God could take him away from the controversial world famous band and a personal life of methamphetamine addiction. In a recent article in the Christian Post, Welch said, I got hooked on methamphetamines the last two years I was in Korn, and I did meth everyday. I wanted to quit [but] I couldnt quit. I tried to quit. I went to rehab, and I just couldnt quit.
Treatment of NI teens with addiction trebles
A new study has revealed that the number of teenagers being treated for drug and alcohol abuse in Northern Ireland has more than trebled in the last two years. The report shows that specialist services are treating 847 under-18s suffering from the misuse of illegal drugs and alcohol. The figures, complied in March this year had spiraled from 271 adolescents in treatment at the same stage in 2005. .
